The La Porte Slicers take down the Merriville Pirates 35-8 in a complete team effort fight. Marshall came up big for The Slicers by recovering 2 fumbles for La Porte along with a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter. Raymond ran the ball well once again this week to lead the Slicer in scoring with with 3 touchdowns and two 2 point conversions. Hancock was able to find the endzone with a 70 yard score in the 2nd quarter. Bair made a bunch of heads up plays on defense to include 2 fumble recoveries that led to La Porte touch downs. Keith Berrier made a big play for the Slicers by once again finding a loose ball and recovering it. Rojo was able to add to The Slicers score by making a PAT. La Porte was clicking on all cylinders on offense tonight and the defense wouldn't let up. They will be in action again next week when they travel to Crown Point to take on the Bulldogs.
