La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers Triumphs Over South Central In Late-Game Victory May 9, 2026 vs. South Central La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers snatched the lead late in their 9-8 victory over South Central on Saturday. The game was tied at eight in the top of the seventh when one run scored on another play. La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers came back to win despite trailing 5-0 in the fourth. La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs on two hits to take the lead, 8-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Abby Culp that drove in two. Culp began the game for La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers. The starter allowed 15 hits and eight runs (five earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking five. Culp, Halo Resendez, Bella Escobedo, Ava Moses, Sophi Meredith, Jill Conrad, Aubree Kollar, and Madalynn Allen each collected one hit for La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers. Culp, Escobedo, Moses, and Conrad each drove in one run for La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers. Resendez and Escobedo each stole multiple bases for La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers.
