In what ended up being a draw, the Slicers fought for every point on their way to a tie with Portage on Tuesday night. In a much better showing on the track and in the field, the Slicers battled all night long for every point, resulting in numerous season bests, and personal records. Leading the Slicers was Junior Destin Matzke who secured three event wins on the evening in the Long Jump (21-6), High Jump (6-2) and ran a leg on the winning 4x100 relay team. Also returning to competition this week and providing a boost for the Slicers were seniors Jermaine Kirkendoll who placed 3rd in the 100m dash (11.66) and the 200m (23.90), both personal bests, as well as Ayden Hunt who placed 2nd in the 300mH (44.85). Sophomore Caleb Rose held serve again this week by winning both of his races in the 1600m (4:41.86) *New Personal Record! and 3200m (10:15.24).
