The LaPorte volleyball team improved to 18-1 on the season and 7-0 in DAC play with a 14-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-17 victory over Lake Central on Tuesday night. Offensively, Ava Holtz led the Slicers with 19 kills and Emalee Maesch added 16 kills. Elizabeth Anglin tallied five kills, while Madison Dhoore and Bella Meier each added four kills. Meier dished out a team-best 40 assists. Defensively, Izzy Freese had 22 digs and Meier added 21 digs. Maesch recorded 14 digs with Anglin tallying 10 digs. Holtz contributed nine digs in the victory. At the net, Kate Buckley had six blocks with Anglin recording three. Dhoore and Holtz each added two block kills. On the service line, Meier, Holtz and Anglin all had two aces.
