Moreno’s Big Day Propels La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers Past Plymouth April 11, 2026 vs. Plymouth Moreno collected three hits in six at bats, as La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers defeated Plymouth 22-10 on Saturday. Moreno hit a home run to center field in the sixth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning. Both offenses were strong at the plate as La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers collected 18 hits and Plymouth 15 in the high-scoring affair. La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers first got on the board when Culp singled, scoring one run. The hurler allowed 14 hits and 10 runs (seven earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Moreno pitched one and one-third innings of scoreless ball for La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers in relief. The pitcher allowed one hit, striking out three and walking none. La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers amassed 18 hits in the game. Escobedo provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led La Porte Junior Varsity Slicers with four runs batted in.
