Big Second Inning Leads Crown Point JV Bulldogs Past La Porte Slicers JV

Crown Point JV defeated La Porte Slicers JV 13-3 on Wednesday thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning. La Porte opened the scoring in the first after Ian Mitchell grounded out, scoring one run. Crown Point flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring eight runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-1. Jake Dickman took the loss for the Slicers. The hurler went two and one-third innings, surrendering 11 runs (seven earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking four. Nolan Darrell threw an inning and two-thirds in relief giving up no runs on one hit while walking none and striking out one. Quinn White, Madix Splix, Dickman, and Zack Donah each collected one hit for La Porte. Mitchell, White, and Wes Kaiser each drove in one run for the Slicers. Dickman stole two bases. Next up for La Porte Slicers JV is a doubleheader at Logansports on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am central time.
