Slicers Lose to Merrillville 97.6 - 102.525 on Saturday, January 24. The girls were tired after their third meet of the week but they were very supportive of each other. The Slicers haven't had a full roster yet this season due to illness and injury but they continue to make improvements. Evie Travis earned a season best on beam with a 9.1 and won the event. She was 3rd on vault 8.7, bars 7.55 and all-around 33.65. Travis had a fall on floor scoring a 8.3 placing 5th. Kate Doty competed in her first meet in over week due to illness and placed on all events. Doty was 4th on vault 8.625, 6th on bars 7.0, 2nd on beam 8.8, 3rd on floor 9.05 and 4th all-around 33.475. Makenna Minnick was 7th on vault 8.325, 12th on beam 6.3, and 7th on floor 8.1. Molly Thibideau was 12th on vault 7.775, 9th on bars 6.25, 7th on beam 7.4, and 9th on floor 7.65. She was 8th overall 29.075. Maddie Johnson was 8th on vault 8.25, 10th on bars 5.975, and 10th on floor 7.5. Genny Witulski was 10th on vault 8.05 and 4th on beam 7.8. For Team 2, Marlee Dhoore was 2nd on vault 7.65 and beam 5.675, and 3rd on floor 7.325. Maddie Johnson was 3rd on beam 6.575, Makenna Minnick was 2nd on bars 5.4 and Genny Witulski was 3rd on bars 5.125. The Slicers host New Prairie and South Bend on Wednesday.
