Slicer Girls' Gymnastics falls to Crown Point High School 91.85 - 98.825. The Slicers lost to Crown Point tonight bringing their DAC record to 1-1. Highlights from the meet were junior Evie Travis who won vault 8.9, beam 8.6, floor 8.875 and all-around 33.2 and was 6th on bars 6.825. Sophomore Kate Doty was 3rd on vault 8.35 and 6th on bars 6.175, beam 7.3, floor 8.175 and all-around 30.0. Freshman Makenna Minnick was 6th on vault 8.15, 9th on beam 6.575, and 7th on floor 8.075. She competed Team 2 on bars placing 2nd. Freshman Maddie Johnson was 8th on vault 8.05, 9th on bars 5.85, and 11th on floor 6.65. She competed Team 2 for beam and was 2nd. Junior Genny Witulski was 11th on vault 7.675 and 10th on beam 6.425. She competed Team 2 for bars and was 3rd. Freshman Marlee Dhoore competed Team 2 and placed 3rd on vault, beam and won floor. Even though it was a very tough scoring meet the girls had great improvements. The Slicers travel to Elkhart this Saturday for the East-West Invite.
