Slicers Win at Griffith, 60-54

The Boys Varsity basketball team picked up a nonconference road win Thursday night at Griffith HS, 60-54. La Porte started the game up 13-3, capitalized by a Reed Raymond steal and breakaway dunk, but found themselves down 11 in the third quarter. Over the last 12 minutes of the game, the Slicers finished the game on a 34-17 run to escape with the win. La Porte was led by Sawyer Tonagel, notching his first career double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds. Griffin Ott-Large added 15 points, 4 assists, Reed Raymond had 12 pts, 7 rebounds, and Destin Matzke added 10 points in the win. La Porte was 20-23 from the FT line to help seal the victory.
