LaPorte Slicers Weekend Duals Review This past Friday and Saturday, the LaPorte Slicers put together a strong and spirited performance on the mats, finishing the weekend with a 6–3 record. The team showed grit, depth, and discipline across nine duals, earning impressive wins and gaining valuable experience as the season builds momentum. Team Results The Slicers notched victories against: Lakeland Garrett Fort Wayne Wayne Goshen East Chicago Goshen 2 Their three losses came at the hands of tough, well-coached squads from: Munster Eastside Bellmont Despite the setbacks, LaPorte consistently competed hard and demonstrated improvement throughout the weekend. Individual Standouts Several Slicers turned in outstanding individual performances: Porter Ivankovig (9–0) – A dominant force all weekend, showing excellent control and conditioning. Bryice Fain (9–0) – Wrestled with confidence and consistency, finishing undefeated. Grant Uhlemann (9–0) – Another perfect run, showcasing strong technique in every match. Christian Ford (8–1) – Came up just shy of perfection but looked sharp in every bout. Justin Dieken (7–2) – A strong, steady presence who racked up key wins for the team. These standout performances were critical to LaPorte’s winning weekend and highlight the potential this lineup has moving forward. Next Competition The Slicers return to action on Wednesday, December 3rd, when they travel to Crown Point for a 6:30 PM showdown.
