The LPVB Slicers (22-7, 9-5 DAC) advanced in the state tournament by knocking of host South Bend Clay in straight sets. Leading the way for the Slicers were Reilly Briggs and Kara Cooper, who both tallied 11 kills. Senior Maddy Dowty added eight kills. Paige Loeffler added three aces, while Gillian Santana and Maddy Dowty each had two. Cheyanne Seymour had two solo blocks, while Paige Loeffler added 11 digs. Gillian Santana had 10 and Grace Pavy had six. Grace also had 27 assists. The Slicers continue sectional play on Saturday when they face Plymouth in the sectional semi-final. The match begins at 10 AM CST at South Bend Clay.
