Game Recap

The Slicers opened the regular season against the New Prairie Cougars Friday night. This game was a game to remember! The game hung in the balance until the final seconds ticked off the clock in the 4th quarter. With the Cougars holding a 6 pt. lead heading into the final quarter of the game your Slicers showed resolve and punched the winning score into the record books. Brennon Long rushed for 2 touchdowns on the night and Scott Cooper pulled down a receiving touchdown. On defense Sergio Garcia played an amazing game at one outside linebacker spot and Josh Bohling wreaked havoc from the other side of the field recording 3 sacks and a fumble recovery. Much respect goes out to the Cougars who played a great game. Monday night the JV squads will square off at Kiwanis, Thursday the Cougars host our Freshman team and come out to Kiwanis field for the home opener against Hobart! Let’s go Slicers!!
